From there, coach Jimmy Marquez introduced me to Alee Athletics, an Olympic Weightlifting gym I consistently lifted at for a year. They helped me compete twice and I placed third as an 87kg weightlifter at the AZ State Championships.</image:title>

I essentially unlearned everything I thought I knew about my body–still am. It makes you realize, it’s the little things that really make a difference to find more strength and mobility. I’ve had so many crazy non-scale victories from this sport such as–increased metabolism, confidence, and muscle. After all my body has been through, I love that I’m discovering how to use the parts of my body I’ve been ignoring my whole fitness journey, such as my core and back.
