How to Gain Confidence

Confidence is the #1 most important tool for success in any aspect of your life. Finding confidence in yourself can feel difficult when you’re stuck in a never ending spiral of insecurities. It’s easy to think that until you reach your dream body, you can’t be confident. When really, to reach your dream body you have to find confidence with your current body to propel you toward your dream body. Let me explain:

Confidence is not created by trying to look like your ideal perception of “perfect”. It’s created by choosing to love all your flaws because they are what make you, yourself. Everyone is unique with different features and if god made us all the same, there would be no perceived confidence. Everyday you can choose to love yourself more, little by little, until you learn to actually accept who you are by using your flaws as momentum to fuel your confidence.

Steps for gaining confidence:

  • Admit your flaws by acknowledging your insecurities

  • Show up for yourself

  • Use self affirmations

  • Explore what makes you feel confident

Admit your flaws by acknowledging your insecurities

Admitting your flaws and insecurities isn’t easy. You tend to shove them in the back of your head and ignore them by pushing them into your subconscious just to go about your day. But, little do you know that’s actually holding you back from attaining more confidence. The fastest way to find confidence from within is to be honest with what you’re insecure about so you can either: a) either accept them or b) change them.

The answer is both because accepting your flaws and insecurities for what they are and choosing to love them will actually propel your motivation to improve which is what will bring change. Being honest does more than you think!

Show up for yourself

By accepting your flaws, you can then choose to show up for yourself and change them. Following through with what you tell yourself you’re going to do through action is actually the number one predicator to help you gain more confidence. Each time you show up for yourself big or small, whether that’s working out 3x a week or drinking enough water, you’re building up self confidence through commitment. Then, you start seeing small results that slowly but surely amount to drastic changes in how you feel and look–helping you love yourself more each day.

Use self affirmations

You can gain more confidence by changing your mindset with self affirmations. Even simply saying, “I love myself and I am confident” each morning in the mirror will go along way as your brain speaks it into existence, which creates your reality by mimicking the reciprocal energy to act as that belief, therefore creating your physical reality.

Speaking these daily affirmations even if you’re not entirely feeling ultra confident that day, tricks your mind into believing them overtime by rewiring your brains ability to turn those beliefs into existence. When I was at my heaviest weight, I said affirmations in the mirror everyday and overtime, my brain believed the repetition enough to create a new physical reality. The moment you believe, is when you see massive results.

Explore what makes you feel confident

Another way to gain more confidence is to learn what makes you feel good and confident in your body. There are various activities, habits, and products that will make you feel better than others. What you do with your time and what you consume coincide with how you feel, which affects your confidence levels. For example, scrolling on Tik Tok all day may not make you feel the most confident, but reading a book and journaling (using my Mindset for Healthy Living Workbook) will. Going to the gym consistently by habit with a set schedule will make you feel good, but skipping it all together, won’t.

Even certain health products can enhance your ‘feel good’ mentality. When I started going to the gym consistently, I quickly learned how important it is to recover properly. I learned that staying hydrated was so important for muscle repair which is when I found Ultima Electrolytes with 6 key electrolytes to replenish your body, helping eliminate brain fog and fatigue. They became a part of my daily routine (I’m currently drinking them as we speak lol) and promotes my confidence to continue my health journey since I feel so refreshed after drinking them.
